Commercial Lawyer | Milton Keynes/Hybrid | £60-70k + bonus

A premium automotive and financial services business is looking for a Commercial Lawyer to join its established in-house legal team. This is an opportunity to work across a broad range of commercial matters, supporting a well-known brand in a highly regulated environment while gaining exposure to financial services and consumer finance.

The team is open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, including those with commercial contracts experience looking to develop financial services expertise, or those with financial services experience keen to broaden their commercial skillset.

The role

You'll advise on a wide variety of commercial and operational matters across the business, working closely with stakeholders at all levels. The work is diverse and will include:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial agreements
  • Supporting procurement activities and supplier relationships
  • Advising on outsourcing arrangements and strategic business projects
  • Supporting technology, software and IT-related contracts
  • Working alongside business stakeholders to provide pragmatic, commercial legal advice
  • Developing an understanding of the financial services and consumer finance environment

About you

  • Qualified solicitor, CILEX lawyer or equivalent experience
  • Commercial contracts experience gained in private practice or in-house
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable managing matters independently and building relationships with stakeholders
  • A genuine interest in financial services and regulated business environments
  • Commercially focused with a pragmatic and personable approach
