The role
Reporting to the Head of Legal (UK and Ireland), the Legal Counsel operates within Budweiser Brewing Group (“BBG”), a proud part of AB InBev. Based in a vibrant office in the City of London, you will join a fast-paced and dynamic environment and will have the opportunity to support and influence key projects and commercial activity. This role supports both BBG’s well-established UK business and its rapidly expanding operations in Ireland.
BBG is an office-based company, with team members working on-site five days a week. Our office environment plays a key role in maintaining our culture; we believe that in-person collaboration fosters stronger communication, faster problem-solving, and more meaningful professional development.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Commercial contracts: Lead the negotiation and drafting of sales, sponsorship, and outsourced service agreements, including logistics, procurement, and warehousing – help us make, deliver, and sell our amazing beer
- Sponsorship agreements: Work on major sponsorships, including partnerships across the FIFA World Cup, the Olympics, Wimbledon, and the English Football Association, alongside partnerships with the likes of Live Nation and Netflix
- Marketing: Work with our brand marketing teams to bring our brilliant brands and mega-partnerships to life in a legally compliant way
- Competition law: Apply knowledge of competition law in commercial decision-making
- Process digitisation: Collaborate with European legal colleagues on digitising legal workflows, including responsible AI adoption
- Litigation: Support the management and resolution of commercial disputes and litigation
- Innovation: Work with local and global colleagues in product and packaging innovation as we seek to lead and grow the beer category
- Corporate governance: Support the Company Secretary in keeping Companies House filings up to date
- Compliance training: Contribute to the delivery of BBG’s annual compliance training programme
Who we’re looking for
- Qualified as a Solicitor in the UK or other relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
- Proven experience in supporting or working for a consumer organisation is desirable
- Experience operating in a fast-paced environment
