Role Overview
We are working with a leading global logistics business on an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused Legal Counsel to join its legal team, supporting some of its highest-value and most strategically important client contracts.
This is a highly commercial, contract-focused role, working closely with senior commercial, sales, and operational stakeholders across a complex international business. You’ll take a leading role in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating sophisticated customer agreements, advising on legal and commercial risk, and helping the business achieve its strategic objectives.
This role can be hybrid or remote, but the right candidate will need to be based in the UK
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-value commercial and customer contracts.
- Acting as a trusted legal adviser to senior commercial and operational stakeholders.
- Advising on contractual risk, liability, indemnities, warranties, service levels, and termination provisions.
- Supporting negotiations throughout the contract lifecycle, from tenders and new business through to renewals and variations.
- Working closely with the wider legal and commercial teams to develop pragmatic, commercially focused solutions.
- Supporting the resolution of complex contractual and commercial issues.

About You
You will be a qualified lawyer (5-8 years PQE) with strong commercial contracts experience, gained in-house or within a leading commercial practice. Experience with complex B2B contracts, ideally within logistics, transportation, supply chain, outsourcing, or another sophisticated services environment, would be advantageous.

Most importantly, you’ll be commercially minded, confident negotiating with sophisticated counterparties, and comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders. You’ll bring strong technical legal skills alongside the judgement to balance legal risk with commercial objectives and deliver practical, business-focused advice.
