About the Role
Our client, a fast-growing and innovative technology scale-up, is looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel with 2-5 years PQE to join a dynamic and growing legal team. Reporting directly to the Group General Counsel, you will play a crucial role in a fast-paced, innovative business. The legal team is based in London and manages the company's worldwide legal operations across the UK, Europe, South America and Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, including wholesale and other sales agreements
- Reviewing and advising on risks in supplier contracts
- Drafting and negotiating NDAs
- Supporting and advising the sales, marketing, engineering and customer care teams
- Managing consultancy agreements and employment legal support
- Advising on privacy and data protection matters
- Advising on SaaS agreements
- Managing external counsel across multiple jurisdictions
- Delivering company training and providing compliance support (policies, legal updates)
- Assisting with corporate matters (board and shareholder resolutions and company secretary)

What We're Looking For
- English qualified (essential) solicitor with 2-5 years PQE, with a commercial, tech or corporate law background and training from a US or City firm (indicative PQE, open to candidates with relevant experience)
- In-house experience is beneficial but not essential
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with excellent knowledge of contract law.
- A proactive self-starter with a hands-on approach
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Organised and commercially focused mindset
- A team player willing to pitch in and support colleagues
