Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Commercial / Technology Legal Counsel to provide pragmatic, high-quality legal advice and transaction support across a broad range of commercial and technology matters. This is a 6-month assignment.
Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and technology contracts
- Managing legal and commercial risk
- Supporting transactions through to completion
- Developing a strong understanding of business strategy and operational priorities
- Providing clear, practical advice that enables the organisation to achieve its objectives within an agreed risk appetite
- Building trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Collaborating with Procurement, Finance, Tax, Property, Data Protection, Company Secretariat, and other specialist teams

Key Focus Areas
- Improving the delivery of legal services through self-service tools, guidance, training, technology, and process improvements
- Proactively identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and improve stakeholder capability
- Using management information and market insights to drive continuous improvement
- Managing external legal advisers where appropriate, ensuring quality, value for money, and effective cost management

Candidate Profile
- UK-qualified solicitor
- 5+ years' Post-Qualification Experience in transactional commercial law, with technology contracting experience
- Commercially minded
- Collaborative
- Confident with technology
- Excellent communicator and negotiator
