What You'll Do
As a member of Group Ethics & Compliance, you will:
- Assist in providing legal advice and guidance on corporate compliance laws and regulations, including but not limited to those governing financial crime.
- Assist with business projects and transactions with a compliance impact, supporting senior team members to identify solutions which mitigate legal risk for Sky while maintaining commercial flexibility.
- Support the conduct of risk assessments, assisting Group Ethics & Compliance to ensure appropriate alignment and oversight.
- Contribute to Group-wide compliance initiatives, including supporting the implementation of frameworks for the effective operation of Sky’s Group compliance activities.
- Support the delivery of an effective compliance training programme, including promoting compliance tone at the top, heighten awareness among employees, and align and educate staff regarding current and emerging risks and trends.
- When required, assist with integrity investigations, working with Group Risk and the People team, ensuring effective reporting to executive management and enterprise stakeholders in relation to integrity investigations.
What You'll Bring
- UK legal qualification or equivalent relevant experience (minimum 3 years PQE) with experience of advising on corporate compliance, including financial crimes and business conduct/ethics issues, whether in private practice, in-house or a combination.
- Developing ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and contribute to solutions for complex legal issues in a complex multi-national business or highly regulated sector.
- Excellent influencing skills with experience of managing stakeholders with varying priorities in different territories, in a collaborative, positive, and proactive manner.
- An ability to work in a fast-paced commercial environment demonstrating flexibility/adaptability to manage a workload comprising multiple wide-ranging matters and conflicting deadlines.
- Strong influencing, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills, with an ability to adapt communication style to a variety of stakeholders across the business.
- Ability to manage own workstreams in an agile and commercial way, developing your skills while delivering outcomes-focused solutions.

How You’ll Work
We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 3 days in the office per week.
Where You'll Work – Osterley
Sky operates on a ‘hybrid’ model, with our headquarters based in Osterley, London. Our Osterley campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Alternatively, you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Chiswick Park, Gunnersbury, Acton Town, and Ealing Broadway tube stations. There’s also plenty of parking, bike shelters, and showers.
On campus, you’ll find six subsidized restaurants and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidized gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed, and even get pampered at our beauty salon.
