W&P Partners Recruitment is working with a growing technology-focused organisation to appoint a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join its expanding in-house Legal team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a 3+ PQE solicitor/lawyer with strong commercial contracts and technology experience to take on a broad in-house role with significant responsibility, international exposure, and regular interaction with senior stakeholders.

The Role

Based in Milton Keynes, you will have responsibility for a broad range of commercial and strategic legal matters, including:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and customer agreements
  • Advising on SaaS, software licensing, technology agreements, and IP matters
  • Supporting product teams on legal and regulatory requirements
  • Providing advice on data protection, privacy, information governance, and emerging regulation, including AI and digital health
  • Partnering with Sales, Product, Operations, HR, and Marketing teams on commercial matters
  • Supporting corporate compliance and company secretarial activities
  • Developing legal templates, guidance materials, and processes
  • Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing technology environment
  • Working with international teams and stakeholders across the organisation
  • Travelling internationally to the organisation's overseas offices as required

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified solicitor/lawyer with 3+ years' post-qualification experience
  • Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Experience within a commercial technology, IT, TMT, or SaaS environment
  • Experience working with international stakeholders or within a multinational organisation would be advantageous
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
  • Willingness and ability to undertake international travel to support the organisation's overseas offices
