The Role
Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will provide commercially focused, pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of commercial, procurement, governance and regulatory matters. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business, supporting strategic initiatives and helping to manage legal risk while enabling commercial objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex, high-value commercial agreements, procurement contracts and customer arrangements.
- Providing legal support across the full procurement lifecycle, including tender processes, supplier selection and contract award.
- Advising on supplier relationships, major projects contract management issues, disputes and contract variations.
- Supporting major infrastructure, operational and development projects.
- Providing practical legal advice on governance, assurance, compliance, risk management and health & safety matters.
- Developing and maintaining legal templates, policies and contracting frameworks.
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver commercially sound and business-focused legal solutions.
- Supporting the organisation's ongoing compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

About You
- UK qualified Solicitor or Barrister with approximately 4+ years' PQE.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- A proven ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice.
- A solutions-oriented mindset and commercial approach to problem solving.
