Legal Counsel – Global Brand & Marketing

As Legal Counsel, you will act as the trusted legal adviser to the global Brand, Marketing and Creative teams, supporting the development of world-class campaigns and creative content that reach consumers across multiple international markets. This is a highly commercial role that combines intellectual property, commercial contracts and strategic legal partnering, offering exposure to high-profile global projects and a diverse range of stakeholders.

The Role

Working as part of a highly regarded in-house legal team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the legal business partner to the Global Marketing and Creative teams, providing commercially focused legal advice.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including creative production agreements, brand partnerships, IP licences and marketing contracts.
  • Advising on intellectual property matters, including copyright, trade marks, licensing and the commercial use of creative assets.
  • Supporting global advertising and marketing campaigns, advising on the use of music, film, photography, artwork, voice talent, influencer content and other creative assets.
  • Advising on advertising and marketing claims across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Managing legal issues relating to counterfeit products, grey market activity and brand protection.
  • Coordinating multi-jurisdictional legal advice for global marketing initiatives and creative projects.
  • Delivering practical legal training and guidance to business stakeholders.
  • Providing legal support across a broad range of commercial matters, including technology, digital, ESG, communications, real estate and intragroup arrangements.
  • Supporting legal governance, compliance initiatives and the continuous improvement of legal processes.

About You

You will be a UK-qualified lawyer with approximately 5–7 years' PQE, gained within a leading private practice firm and/or a well-regarded in-house legal team. You'll bring strong commercial contracts experience, a solid understanding of intellectual property law, and the ability to provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice in a fast-paced international environment. Additional intellectual property qualifications would be advantageous but are by no means essential.
