Summary
As Legal Counsel Commercial Northern Europe you will provide practical, business-oriented legal support to our commercial business teams and other functions across the Northern Europe region (UK, Ireland, Nordics & Benelux). You will advise on commercial contracts, distribution and service models, corporate and day-to-day legal matters, helping the business manage legal risks while enabling business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical and commercially minded legal advice to commercial, homecare and operational teams
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including customer, distribution, service and cooperation agreements.
- Advice on commercial and service models, day-to-day legal questions and risk allocation in business projects.
- Support corporate and governance matters for the local entities
- Provide front-end employment law support on matters such as employment contracts, new legal requirements and day-to-day HR-related questions.
- Work closely with local business teams and international stakeholders to enable business objectives while managing legal risks.
- Collaborate with the global Law team and colleagues across the European Law team to ensure alignment, share best practices and support cross-border initiatives.
- Coordinate with external legal advisors where specialist local advice or dispute support is required.
- Develop and deliver practical legal guidance, templates and training for business teams.

Education & Work Requirements
- Masters Degree with a minimum of 6 years of related experience
Education & Work Preferences
- Fully qualified lawyer in the UK or another European jurisdiction; admission to a Bar is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of European and UK contract law, commercial law, competition law, corporate law and employment law.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English.

What We Offer
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is £70,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience or other legitimate business factors
- This position is also eligible to participate in the Hollister discretionary Corporate Bonus Scheme
