LEGAL COUNSEL – FINANCIAL SERVICES REGULATION 5+PQE

Exceptional High-Growth Wealth Manager | London, UK

A rare in-house opportunity with one of the world's largest and leading non-bank wealth managers, providing a fully integrated, client-first experience to UHNW individuals, families, and family offices across the globe.

Joining a newly established and rapidly growing EMEA Legal team, you will report directly to the Head of Legal, providing expert legal and regulatory advice across the full spectrum of EMEA activities.

You will act as a trusted commercial adviser to senior stakeholders, help shape the legal framework for a business expanding rapidly through both organic growth and acquisition, and gain exposure to complex, high-profile transactions and regulatory matters across EMEA and beyond.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent), minimum 5 years' PQE
  • A career spanning time spent at both a leading City or international law firm and within an in-house regulated financial services environment
  • Substantive expertise in UK and EU financial services regulation, with working knowledge of AIFMD (UK and/or EU) and MiFID II/UK MiFID II
  • Experience navigating regulatory change and integration arising from M&A transactions in financial services
  • A background advising wealth managers, asset managers, multi-family offices, or similar UHNW-focused businesses
  • The commercial acumen to deliver clear, practical advice to senior and non-legal audiences
  • A self-starter mindset, comfortable operating with autonomy and without ego, in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
