Acre is delighted to be mandated by a prominent global investment firm with a focus on impact investing and sustainable development in private markets to hire additional Legal Counsel capability for a fixed-term contract (FTC) of up to 9 months.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing investment business and work across both developed markets and emerging markets. You'll enjoy a collegiate professional working environment, based in our client's London office.

As an integral part of the global group level legal team, this is an exciting opportunity to work across and support various fund lifecycles at platform level, with an emphasis on providing support to Luxembourg registered funds. Examples of responsibilities include Board paper preparation, analysing side letters and post-close legal support. You'll also support legal and regulatory projects affecting the business, including investment fund regulation and governance requirements.

Legal experience and competencies sought:

  • 1-3 years PQE, although candidates with more experience will be considered, while exceptional trainee-level candidates may also be considered
  • The post qualified experience and/or traineeship will have been gained in-house in a financial services environment supporting investment funds, asset management, private equity or broader financial services
  • Familiarity with the private equity ecosystem is advantageous
  • Understanding of international legal structures across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Commercially minded with sound judgement and a pragmatic approach
  • Proactive, solution-oriented and adaptable
