Our client is a large international fund manager in Zurich. We are searching for a fund compliance specialist (m, f, d) as

Legal Counsel PE Fund Investment Compliance

Aufgaben

  • Support investment team and providing guidance for company’s participation in investments and strategic partnerships
  • Research compliance issues and interpret tax laws and rulings to resolve a wide variety of tax questions
  • Review of tax returns filled by external advisors and the processes of tax reporting
  • Advising on tax compliance aspects of private equity business and supporting FATCA and CRS matters and the review of the, -8/W-9 forms
  • Manage the annual process of complying with tax obligations in various jurisdictions around the world
  • Research and interpret tax laws and regulations affecting private equity investments
  • Collaborate with investment teams with tax due diligence processes, tax structuring and analysing tax scenarios
  • Monitoring tax procedures and controls to ensure they are carried out correctly and on time and assess changes in international and domestic taxation and the impact on the fund investments
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and international tax obligations
  • Participate in ad hoc tax projects, provide direct ad hoc support and trainings.

Qualifikation

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or Tax Law
  • Further education in tax law would be an advantage
  • Professional experience at a Big Four firm or a top-tier law firm is required
  • Experience in the field of international tax law as well as US tax and investment compliance (FATCA, CRS)
  • Knowledge of corporation tax law and the formation and investment activities of private equity funds structured as both open-ended and closed-ended funds, across various jurisdictions with domicile in Luxembourg, Ireland, Delaware, the Cayman Islands, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team
  • Efficient working style
  • Ability to build interpersonal relationships
  • Strong client focus
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Interest in project work
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Fluent English.
