Role Description
The Legal Counsel role at Enpure is a full-time hybrid position based in the West Midlands, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. The Legal Counsel will provide day-to-day legal support across the business, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, project agreements, NDAs, supplier contracts, and service level agreements. This role will advise on regulatory and compliance matters relevant to water, wastewater, and waste-to-energy projects, including health and safety, environmental regulations, data protection, and corporate governance. The Legal Counsel will work closely with project teams, engineering and operations stakeholders, and external advisors to manage legal risk, support tender and bid documentation, and ensure contractual obligations are clear and enforceable. The role also includes managing disputes and claims, maintaining legal templates and policies, monitoring legal developments, and delivering training and guidance to colleagues on legal and compliance topics.

- Strong experience in commercial, corporate, and contract law, preferably within engineering, infrastructure, or utilities sectors.
- Ability to draft, review, and negotiate a range of agreements, including construction contracts, service agreements, NDAs, and framework contracts.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, including health and safety, environmental law, data protection, and risk management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess legal risk and propose practical solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a project-driven environment.
- Qualified legal professional (e.g., solicitor or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience; experience in an in-house counsel role is an advantage.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment in the West Midlands and using digital tools for document management and remote collaboration.
