Role Overview

We have exclusively partnered with an established private markets firm in London as they look to appoint a high-performing Private Funds or M&A lawyer to join their growing Royalties team. The role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of sectors, advising on a variety of sophisticated investments and transactions. Your legal expertise will be highly valued, with strong opportunities for development through collaboration and hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and advising on complex investment structures.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating investment documentation across multiple sectors.
  • Advising and supporting other members of the Private Markets Royalties team on the analysis of investment considerations and risks.
  • Conducting various other tasks related to reporting, monitoring, internal requests, and marketing efforts with current and potential investors.

What Will Make You Successful?

  • Top academic credentials from a leading university.
  • Qualified lawyer in the UK, US, or another common law jurisdiction.
  • 2-4 years PQE in private M&A or funds formation at a reputable international law firm or specialist boutique firm.
  • Experience in one or more sectors such as music, entertainment, healthcare, or sports provides valuable industry insight.
  • A professional interest in royalty investments across key sectors shows your enthusiasm for this specialised area (prior royalties experience is advantageous).
  • Excellent legal analytical abilities paired with strong interpersonal skills enable you to connect effectively with colleagues and clients alike.
  • Superior organizational competence allows you to plan meticulously while coordinating multiple tasks efficiently.
