About The Role

Qt Group’s Legal team supports a fast-growing, multi-product portfolio spanning the entire Qt Group of companies, and across a complex mix of open source and commercial licensing. As we scale our products and take on growing regulatory obligations (e.g., EU AI Act, the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and GDPR), we are seeking a dedicated Product and Privacy counsel to support our business. As Legal Counsel, Product & Privacy, you will be the go-to legal partner for Product, R&D, and business teams on third-party and open source licensing, regulatory compliance, and legal support for strategic product initiatives, as well as our internal go-to counsel for data protection and AI regulatory work.

Possible locations for this position are Espoo, Finland or London, UK

What You’ll Do

  • Advise Product, R&D, and business teams on third-party and open source software licensing across Qt’s dual open-source/commercial license model.
  • Support EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) compliance for Qt Group products and product teams.
  • Provide ongoing legal support for strategic product and R&D initiatives.
  • Advise on data protection (GDPR) and EU AI Act compliance as they apply across Qt Group products.
  • Partner with Security, Product, and Engineering to build compliance into product decisions and frameworks.
  • Support product, privacy, and licensing matters related to M&A and subsidiary integration.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
