Junior Legal Counsel (NQ)

Financial Services / Investment Management | European Legal & Compliance | London / Hybrid

Accuflex is working with an international financial services business that is looking for a junior lawyer to support its European legal and compliance function.

This is a broad in-house role sitting within a highly regarded legal team. The successful candidate will work closely with the General Counsel for EMEA and APAC, the wider legal group, and internal stakeholders across the business.

The work will be varied and will include transactional support, legal flow documentation, internal processes, commercial advice, and support across a range of investment strategies. This would suit a bright junior lawyer who wants to build broad in-house experience in a sophisticated financial services environment.

The Role

You will be supporting the legal team with:

  • Reviewing and negotiating key legal flow documentation
  • Assisting with transactional matters across the European business
  • Working with investment professionals across real estate, structured credit, private credit, distressed debt, restructuring, and CLOs
  • Supporting internal teams including compliance, tax, investor relations, and accounting
  • Helping manage internal legal processes and controls
  • Providing general commercial advice in an in-house financial services context
  • Contributing to know-how, training materials, and internal form documents

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
