About the job

An opportunity has arisen for a real-estate or private credit funds lawyer with 2 yrs PQE to work within a fast growing real estate credit fund. The successful candidate will work closely with the investment team, infrastructure functions, and broader legal and compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive, day-to-day legal advice to the investment teams
  • Support front office teams in understanding and complying with applicable legal requirements and internal policies
  • Draft and negotiate investment management agreements, distribution agreements, rebate agreements, introducer arrangements, and third-party marketing agreements relevant to the firm's global activities.
  • Support corporate board meetings and governance matters
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and enhancement of legal frameworks, policies, and controls
  • Partner with stakeholders across Legal, Risk, Operations, and other infrastructure functions
  • Escalate issues appropriately and support remediation efforts where required

Required Experience & Skills

  • At least 2 years PQE legal experience ideally within real estate and private credit
  • Strong understanding of products, including some or all of the following:
    • Private Equity
    • Private Credit
    • Opportunistic Credit solutions
    • Structured solutions
  • Solid knowledge of global laws and industry standards relevant to the private markets businesses
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements
