Legal Counsel – Remote | London Office

A leading international business operating across specialist global services and complex commercial operations is looking to appoint a Legal Counsel to support its international business.

This is a broad in-house opportunity offering exposure to a wide range of commercial and legal matters. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing practical legal advice and supporting the organisation across contracts, compliance and day-to-day legal matters.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, working with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts meet business requirements while appropriately managing risk.

The role will also involve:

  • Adapting and developing contract templates
  • Providing day-to-day legal advice
  • Drafting correspondence
  • Supporting compliance policies
  • Conducting legal research
  • Liaising with external counsel where specialist advice is required

This is an opportunity to become a trusted legal partner to the wider business, providing pragmatic advice and helping stakeholders find commercially sensible solutions to legal issues.

What We're Looking For

  • UK-qualified solicitor with strong commercial contracts experience
  • Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Strong understanding of contractual risk and commercial considerations
  • Ideally some in-house experience, although strong commercial private practice experience will be considered
  • Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to legal advice
  • Able to manage a varied workload and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Confident communicator, comfortable advising non-legal stakeholders
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with a willingness to take ownership
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
  • Additional language skills would be advantageous
