Legal Counsel - Sustainable Finance UK & EU Specialist
📍 London (Hybrid, 3 days in office)
💰 £700 per day
📅 4-6 Month Contract
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced legal or policy professional to join a high-profile sustainable finance and governance team on an interim basis.
Working at the intersection of sustainable finance, climate governance, regulation, and transition planning, you will advise public and private sector stakeholders on sustainability-related regulatory frameworks, governance requirements, and transition initiatives. The role will involve supporting policy development, regulatory reform projects, technical assistance programmes, and stakeholder engagement activities across a diverse international landscape.

Key Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in sustainable finance, ESG regulation, environmental law, climate governance, financial regulation, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of frameworks such as ISSB, CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, and broader sustainability and transition regulations.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience gained within a law firm, financial institution, regulator, consultancy, or international organization.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
