Key Notes
As Waymo enters the UK market, you’ll provide hands-on legal support for Waymo’s UK market entry and ongoing operations, advising on negotiations, advocacy, disputes, governance, and changing regulation. The role partners with policy, product, safety, operations, and communications teams and may represent Waymo with local authorities. UK admission, at least five years’ legal practice, and experience launching technology products or services in the UK are required.
What You'll Work On
- Advise on UK market entry and operations, including negotiations, advocacy, and disputes, and explain legal implications to cross-functional business leaders.
- Monitor changes in UK law and coordinate compliance responses with local and global teams, covering governance and corporate-strategy questions.
- Work with regulators, agencies, and partner organizations on UK legal matters, developing expertise in emerging issues affecting Waymo’s activities.

What They Are Looking For
Qualification: LLB, LLM, or JD and admission as a UK solicitor or barrister.
Experience: At least five years practising law; seven years and in-house experience are preferred.
Experience: Applicants need experience helping international technology companies introduce products or services into the UK.
Experience: Applicants need experience engaging UK regulators and other authorities across varied topics.
Preferred: Automotive, ride-hailing, or international in-house legal-team experience.
