About the role

Reporting to the Lead Legal and Compliance Counsel UK&I and Nordics, as Legal Counsel for the United Kingdom & Ireland (UK&I) and Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland (Nordics), you will be responsible for the provision of effective legal support mainly to the Nordics Haleon businesses and also UK&I and our wider Europe businesses.

The role will require engagement, deep commercial understanding, and comprehensive legal support across business and legal stakeholders as a strategically driven embedded business partner in the exciting field across FMCG and pharmaceuticals: consumer healthcare.

The successful applicant will advise across jurisdictions and across businesses and brands in a truly fast-moving global company.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the UK&I and Nordics business, commercial, product and operational teams to support strategic initiatives and day-to-day decision making, including providing strategic legal advice to the Nordics Leadership Team.
  • Advise local as well as Europe-wide Marketing, Sales, and Support Functions on legal, compliance, transactional, litigation and commercial issues, integrating your legal expertise with a deep understanding of business and risk management.
  • Provide practical legal solutions and recommend a course of action that supports the business with a commercial and proactive mindset with regard to applicable consumer protection law, pharmaceutical regulations, advertisement laws (especially digital advertisements), product development and launches, product safety, distribution models, competition laws, and other ad hoc legal matters.
  • Represent the organization externally to customers, suppliers, competitors, trade bodies, commercial associations, and government agencies, and manage external advisors to ensure optimal and cost-effective legal support.
  • Educate key departments in your markets about sound legal and compliance practices and new developments affecting their operations.
  • Develop scalable processes, policies and trainings, as well as drive simplification efforts across legal processes. As part of this, you will create and own pragmatic business-minded templates and governance frameworks.
  • Advise on legal aspects of marketing, digital, and AI initiatives, and support Haleon corporate entities, ensuring all operations are aligned with legal requirements.
  • Interpret new or pending legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance and advising on strategic adjustments when necessary.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
