We are looking for a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) to join our Legal Team. Whether you are newly qualified, looking to make your first move in-house, or already working in-house, this is an opportunity to join a collaborative legal team that is closely involved in the day-to-day operation of the business.

WPA is a leading not-for-profit health insurer based in Taunton. Our Legal team is small, collaborative and highly integrated into the business, working across supplier and provider relationships, insurance products and services, strategic projects and day-to-day operational matters. The Role
This is a broad in-house legal role with a focus on commercial contracts and business support.
You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, providing practical legal advice on a wide range of matters affecting the business. While a significant part of the role will involve drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, you will also support operational teams, contribute to strategic projects, advise on customer and supplier matters, and assist with the ongoing development of WPA's products, services and processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supplier, provider and business agreements.
- Provide practical legal and commercial advice to stakeholders across the business.
- Support WPA relationships with suppliers, healthcare providers and customers.
- Support the business's third-party risk management and supplier onboarding processes, including advising on associated legal considerations.
- Assist with the development, review and maintenance of policy documentation, contractual terms, customer communications and other business documentation.
- Support the legal aspects of business initiatives, strategic projects and new product developments.
- Advise on legal issues arising throughout the customer journey, from individual customers through to SME and corporate clients.
- Work closely with colleagues across the business and operational teams to identify and manage legal risk.
- Support the team across a broad range of commercial, regulatory and operational legal matters.
About You

- Qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX).
- Newly qualified to approximately five years' post-qualification experience.
- Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Experience gained in private practice, in-house, or a combination of both.
- Strong legal and commercial judgement and strong communication skills.
- A collaborative approach and enjoyment of working as part of a small team.
