Legal Director - Manchester Corporate Team
A leading national law firm is looking for an experienced, Legal Director to join its highly regarded Manchester corporate team, as part of a wider national practice with real momentum.
About the Role
The team advises ambitious entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses, private equity investors, management teams and international corporates on the key ownership, capital and growth decisions that shape their businesses, from investment and acquisition through to exit and succession planning.
In this role, you'll play a central part in the next phase of growth for the corporate practice in the North West. You'll lead and manage significant transactions from instruction to completion, covering M&A, private equity and venture capital investments, management buyouts, re-organisations, shareholder arrangements and joint ventures. You'll support partners on larger strategic matters while taking day-to-day responsibility for delivery, and work closely with colleagues across banking and finance, tax, employment, real estate, commercial and regulatory to deliver joined-up advice. You'll also supervise and develop junior lawyers, build client relationships, and contribute to business development and networking across the Manchester market and wider region.

Requirements
You'll bring significant PQE gained in a recognised corporate practice, strong technical expertise across M&A and wider transactional work, and experience of leading deals and supervising junior colleagues. You'll be commercially aware and pragmatic, with strong communication and project management skills and a genuine interest in business development.
