Role Description
The Legal Editor / Writer will research and write clear, engaging articles on legal topics, including recent cases, regulatory developments, and issues related to technology, intellectual property, and finance. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Conducting legal and general research
- Drafting and revising content
- Editing submissions from other contributors
- Ensuring that all content is accurate, well-structured, and accessible to non-expert readers

The role also involves collaborating with the platform’s team to brainstorm topics, refine story angles, and uphold editorial standards and voice. This is a volunteer, remote role, offering flexibility in scheduling and the chance to build a portfolio in legal writing and editing.
Qualifications
- Background or strong interest in Law, with the ability to interpret and explain legal concepts clearly.
- Editorial skills, including content editing, structural editing, and attention to style and tone.
- Research and Legal Research skills to identify reliable sources, analyze legal developments, and support arguments with evidence.
- Strong Writing skills, including clarity, organization, and the ability to adapt content for different audiences.
- Excellent command of written English and grammar, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, meet deadlines, and respond constructively to editorial feedback.
- Prior experience in legal writing, blogging, journalism, or academic legal work is an advantage but not required.
- Enrollment in or completion of a law degree, paralegal program, or related studies is beneficial but not mandatory.
