Legal Finance Manager - Windsor - £50,000 / £55,000

About the Client

Wade Macdonald are currently working with a well-established Legal organisation based in Windsor. They are a small, close-knit and sociable team with a friendly culture. They are looking for someone who will enjoy becoming part of a collaborative team, building strong relationships with colleagues and contributing to the positive atmosphere across the organisation.

About the Job

You will take ownership of the organisation’s day-to-day finance function while playing a key role in maintaining regulatory and compliance standards. Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee financial controls, reporting, billing and risk-related activities, while providing trusted financial insight across the organisation.

Duties will include:

  • Overseeing the complete billing and credit control process, including invoicing and the collection of outstanding balances.
  • Supervising the accounts function and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Monitoring income, expenditure and performance against agreed budgets.
  • Preparing monthly journals covering areas such as accruals, prepayments and payroll.
  • Completing VAT returns, bank reconciliations and other routine accounting activities.
  • Managing payroll processes alongside PAYE and National Insurance payments.
  • Producing financial information and analysis to support senior-level decision-making.
  • Coordinating SAR audits and maintaining relationships with banks, HMRC and other external parties.
  • Supporting compliance requirements across SRA regulations, AML, GDPR and COFA responsibilities.

About the Successful Applicant

You will have strong finance experience gained within legal or professional services, together with a solid understanding of SRA requirements. You will be comfortable managing accounting processes and regulatory responsibilities, with excellent attention to detail and strong stakeholder communication skills. The ability to work independently, take ownership and confidently provide financial guidance to senior leadership will be important.
