Key Responsibilities
The internship will include:
- Participating in various company projects and initiatives;
- Assisting the legal team with research and investigative projects;
- Maintaining the legal department’s legal research and company secretarial/regulatory library;
- Keeping abreast and informing others of industry changes, relevant news articles and legal/regulatory updates;
- Reviewing the company’s various contracts and other service provider agreements;
- Attending meetings;
- Managing the legal department’s contract database;
- Restructuring/updating legal folders and documents;
- Producing and drafting training materials.
Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills:

- Completed an undergraduate degree in law (or alternatively has completed a GDL).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- An ability to take the initiative, work independently and be versatile as workload and work requests will vary day to day.
- Excellent communication skills and an effective team-player, willing to contribute their own ideas.
- Desire to learn in a fast paced environment, and be capable of regularly using good judgment and discretion to accomplish goals and work requirements.
- A demonstrable and active interest in commercial law.
Candidates who do not meet all of the above requirements will be considered provided they can demonstrate ability and commitment to learn.
This internship starts as 1-year term with the potential to extend for a second year. This is a paid position.
