Responsibilities

Commercial & Contractual Support (Primary Focus)

• Assist with the review and drafting of a wide range of commercial agreements, including procurement and supplier agreements, store operation agreements, NDAs and other commercial contracts.
• Support the legal team in identifying and summarising key contractual issues.
• Assist with the review and management of internal legal approval requests.
• Support the preparation, maintenance and organisation of legal templates and contractual documentation.
• Assist with day-to-day commercial legal enquiries from business teams.

Legal Research & Regulatory Support

• Conduct legal research on UK and European laws and regulations.
• Prepare concise legal research notes, summaries and practical guidance for the legal team.
• Assist with research relating to commercial, corporate, regulatory, consumer and operational legal matters.
• Support the legal team in monitoring relevant legal and regulatory developments across the UK and Europe.

Marketing & Promotional Activities

• Assist with the review of marketing campaign Terms & Conditions.
• Support the legal team in providing legal guidance for promotional activities and campaigns.
• Assist with reviewing consumer-facing promotional materials and identifying relevant legal considerations.
• Help prepare internal guidance and materials relating to marketing and promotional activities.

Legal Operations & Business Support

• Support the team in responding to day-to-day legal enquiries from business teams.
• Assist with the preparation of legal templates, internal guidance notes and training materials.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and support the legal team in providing practical solutions.
• Assist with general legal administration, document management and other operational activities as required.

Counterfeit Products & IP Support

• Support the legal team in responding to enquiries relating to counterfeit products.
• Assist with gathering and organising relevant information and documentation.
• Conduct legal research relating to counterfeit products and intellectual property matters where required.
• Support the team in protecting POP MART's IP, brands and commercial interests.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LLB, LLM or equivalent).
• Strong interest in commercial law and in-house legal practice.
• Strong legal research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and business stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Previous internship or work experience in a law firm or in-house legal department is an advantage, but not essential.

Desirable but Not Essential

• Previous experience supporting a commercial or in-house legal team.
• Experience reviewing or drafting commercial agreements.
• Experience conducting legal research involving UK or European law.
• Interest in consumer, retail, e-commerce, intellectual property or marketing law.
• Familiarity with regulatory matters affecting consumer-facing businesses.
• Experience working in an international or cross-border environment.
• Experience preparing legal guidance, training materials or internal documentation.
• European language skills, such as French, Italian or Spanish, would be an advantage.
• Experience or interest in the designer toy, retail, e-commerce or entertainment industries.
