Legal Intern – Music, Technology & Commercial
Monetunes is looking for a talented and commercially minded Legal Intern to join our growing team.
We’re building technology and financial infrastructure for the music industry, working with independent artists, record labels and music businesses across publishing, royalty administration, distribution and catalogue opportunities.
This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of music, technology, intellectual property and commercial law, working directly with the founders and wider team.
What you’ll be involved in:
- Supporting the review and preparation of commercial agreements, NDAs and partnership agreements
- Assisting with artist, record label, publishing and distribution agreements
- Supporting catalogue licensing, advance and acquisition opportunities
- Researching music rights, copyright, intellectual property and contractual matters
- Assisting with legal due diligence and rights documentation
- Supporting corporate, investor and governance documentation
- Helping maintain contract templates and our internal legal documentation
- Researching legal and regulatory issues relevant to Monetunes as we expand internationally
- Working with our external legal advisers where required

Who we’re looking for:
You may be a current law student, recent law graduate, LPC/SQE candidate or someone at the beginning of your legal career.
An interest in music, entertainment, technology, startups or intellectual property law would be particularly valuable. We’re looking for someone who is commercially aware, highly organised, comfortable researching unfamiliar areas and able to communicate complex legal information clearly. You’ll be joining a fast-moving startup environment, so curiosity, initiative and a willingness to get involved are important.
