Role Description
The Legal Intern / Student Contributor (Esports Law) role is a remote internship focused on researching and writing about legal issues in esports. Day-to-day tasks include conducting legal research on topics such as contracts, intellectual property, player rights, governance, and regulatory developments, and summarizing findings in clear, concise articles or commentary for publication on ELN. The intern will assist with reviewing relevant legal documents, preparing outlines, and supporting content planning for the platform, while collaborating with editors and subject-matter experts. Responsibilities may also involve monitoring current events in esports, identifying emerging legal trends, and contributing to social or educational initiatives that promote legal awareness in the community. This role is designed to support legal education and professional development, with structured feedback and opportunities to build a public portfolio of work.

- Solid foundation in Law, with an interest in esports, media, technology, or sports law.
- Skills in Legal Consulting and Legal Issues analysis, including the ability to interpret and explain complex matters clearly.
- Experience or coursework in Legal Document Preparation, such as drafting memoranda, case summaries, or contract overviews.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written English and the ability to present legal information to non-specialist audiences.
- Current enrollment in a law degree program or recent graduate in law or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated research skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy and ethical standards.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage deadlines, and respond constructively to editorial feedback.
- Familiarity with esports ecosystems (teams, leagues, publishers, platforms) is preferred but not required.
