This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Legal Manager (Freelance) based in the United Kingdom.
This role offers an opportunity for an experienced legal professional to take ownership of key legal activities within a growing, technology-driven organization.
You will help ensure that business operations remain compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
The position combines legal management, strategic advisory work, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration.

Accountabilities
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day legal activities, ensuring that legal matters are handled efficiently and in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Provide strategic and practical legal advice to leadership and relevant stakeholders on corporate and operational matters.
- Monitor applicable laws, regulations, and legal developments and assess their potential impact on business activities.
- Support the organization in maintaining compliance with relevant legal and regulatory obligations.
- Review, draft, and advise on contracts, agreements, policies, and other legal documentation as required.
- Identify potential legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies to protect the organization’s interests.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external legal professionals when specialized advice or additional legal support is required.
- Help establish and maintain effective legal processes, documentation, and governance practices.
- Provide clear, commercially minded recommendations that enable the organization to make informed business decisions.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a legal professional, Legal Manager, Corporate Counsel, or in a comparable legal leadership role.
- Strong background in corporate law and experience advising organizations on a range of business-related legal matters.
- Solid understanding of applicable legal and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to identify and address compliance risks.
- Experience reviewing and drafting contracts, agreements, policies, and other corporate legal documents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to provide clear, practical, and commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple legal matters and competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong professional judgment, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive legal and business matters.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as a freelance professional in a flexible, remote environment.
- Relevant legal qualifications and authorization to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
