Legal Operations & Innovation Lawyer
Looking to make the move from traditional legal work into Legal Operations without losing touch with the law?
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-profile legal team at a pivotal stage of its transformation journey. You'll be the go-to person for Legal Operations, helping shape how the legal function works, scales and leverages technology, while still maintaining exposure to high-quality commercial legal work.
If you're a digitally minded lawyer who gets excited by legal tech, AI, process improvement, data, automation and the future of legal services, this could be the ideal stepping stone into a dedicated Legal Operations career.
The business currently has no dedicated Legal Operations resource, meaning you'll have genuine ownership, visibility and the freedom to build something meaningful from the ground up.
What You'll Be Doing
Drive Legal Transformation
- Take ownership of Legal Operations initiatives across the legal function.
- Improve and redesign legal processes, workflows and ways of working.
- Explore and implement legal technology, automation and AI-driven solutions.
- Develop reporting, metrics and insights that demonstrate the value of the legal team.
- Build scalable frameworks, governance and knowledge management processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
