Legal PA - Finance Practice Group (London)
£47000-£55000 Hybrid
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal PA to join a busy Finance Practice Group within a leading international law firm. This role offers a broad mix of responsibilities and the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
About the Role
You will bring strong PA experience, ideally gained within a law firm supporting at Partner level. The role requires exceptional organisational skills, confidence in managing competing demands, and the ability to communicate clearly and proactively with those you support.
Key Responsibilities
- Diary management - anticipating needs and managing complex schedules
- Email management - prioritising, summarising and creating clear action points
- Time management - ensuring fee earners’ time entries and narratives are completed daily
- Drafting correspondence and preparing documents as required
- Travel arrangements - sourcing and booking hotels and transport
- Establishing and maintaining administrative systems
- Managing workload efficiently and working proactively on own initiative
- Proofreading and quality checking all work produced
- Building strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
- Developing familiarity with legal terminology relevant to the practice area
- Document management - opening files, archiving, and ensuring accurate electronic and paper filing
- Supporting the billing process and liaising with the finance team
- Providing support across teams when capacity allows
- Typing via dictation or marked-up changes
- Delegating administrative tasks where appropriate
- Embracing technology, including AI and collaboration tools, to enhance efficiency and improve service delivery

The firm invests heavily in training and development to ensure you thrive from day one. To be considered, you should have:
- Strong PA/secretarial experience at Partner level
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Typing speed of 70 wpm
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and document management systems
- A positive, practical, and resilient approach
- Audio and copy typing skills
- Outstanding organisational and administrative ability
