We are recruiting for an experienced Legal PA Team Leader to join a leading professional services firm, supporting legal secretarial teams across Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow.

This is a senior leadership role, responsible for managing and coordinating PAs, EAs and Team Assistants, ensuring a high-quality and consistent support service across the offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the legal secretarial teams, supporting performance, development and engagement.
  • Coordinate workloads, allocations and holiday/absence cover to ensure a seamless service.
  • Act as a key point of contact for team members and senior stakeholders, resolving issues and providing guidance.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, appraisals and performance management.
  • Oversee billing support, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are maintained.
  • Drive improvements and contribute to wider secretarial service initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on support to fee earners when required.
  • Regularly travel between the Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow offices.

About You

  • Previous mid/senior-level legal secretarial experience with leadership or line management responsibility.
  • Strong people management skills, including experience handling performance and absence matters.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills, with billing experience highly desirable.
  • Confident using MS Office; experience with Elite or similar legal finance systems would be advantageous.
  • Based within reasonable travelling distance of Manchester, Leeds or Glasgow and willing to travel regularly between offices.
