The Problems You'll Solve

As the Legal Partnerships Manager you will manage our relationships with law firms, investment banks, compliance consultants and other business partnerships globally.
You'll own the full partnership lifecycle, identifying high-value opportunities, negotiating agreements, and managing ongoing relationships that generate measurable business outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of business development, relationship management, and strategic planning.
You'll be responsible for identifying, structuring and growing partnerships that drive distribution of Carta Law's services - turning law firms, investment banks and compliance consultancy firms from potential competitors into active referral partners and collaborators.
If you have a background in law or legal services, understand how private markets firms and their advisors operate and are energized by the commercial side of the industry, this role is for you.

The Team You'll Work With
Carta’s London and Denmark locations are a product of our 2022 acquisitions of Capdesk and Vauban. Now operating as one global Carta entity, our U.K. and Denmark locations will enhance the Carta platform with Capdesk and Vauban as proprietary products.

You'll be joining the Carta Law Sales team in London or Americas offices. Our team manages the full client lifecycle - from welcoming new clients through onboarding, to building deep, lasting relationships with established fund managers and their legal teams.
We sit at the intersection of legal delivery, commercial strategy, and operations. Day-to-day we partner closely with our legal delivery team, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure clients get maximum value from Carta Law and that we're well-positioned to grow with them over time. We're building the gold standard for client success in the AI-powered legal services space, and you'll have a meaningful hand in shaping what that looks like.
About You
- 4+ years in partnerships or account management
- Experience in or building partnership channels via law firms, asset management firms or professional services firms preferred. (Ideally from scratch)
- Strong understanding of the private markets ecosystem — PE, VC, credit, real assets — and how legal and compliance workstreams operate within it
- Experience managing senior relationships and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder organisations.
- Commercially sharp, with the ability to structure and close partnership deals
- Excellent communicator — confident presenting to partners, General Counsels and C-suite stakeholders.
- Proactive and self-directed; comfortable building something from the ground up
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred)

Salary
We are hiring for multiple levels and locations, so final offers may vary from the amounts listed based on geography, experience and expertise, and other factors.
