Experienced Legal Secretary for Top Law Firm in London

A top law firm is looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join its London office, supporting counsel, associates and trainee solicitors. You will report to the Manager of Secretarial Services and work closely with fellow secretaries and business support colleagues.

This is a hands-on role for someone who anticipates what the fee earner needs before they ask, and who helps keep the whole group running well.

What you will do

  • Manage fee earners' diaries and resolve conflicting appointments with good judgment
  • Manage fee earners' inboxes and file client and matter emails promptly in iManage
  • Assist with the billing process through the 3E billing system and the Accounts team
  • Open new clients and matters, including conflict checks
  • Arrange travel and prepare itineraries
  • Look after fee earners' contacts and keep InterAction up to date
  • Input timesheets and submit expenses when required
  • Format, amend and proofread documents to a consistently high standard
  • Support the group with training sessions, team socials and shared resources

What you bring

  • At least three years' experience supporting at associate level or equivalent in a corporate, legal or banking environment
  • Strong MS Office skills across Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent written communication and a critical eye for detail
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritise and stay calm under pressure
  • A professional, positive style suited to an international law firm
  • Willingness to work flexibly to meet client needs
