Legal PA – Family Law
📍 Chancery Lane | 💷 £30,000–£38,000 | 🏡 50/50 Hybrid | Permanent
I’m currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity for a Legal PA / Legal Assistant to join a highly regarded Family team within a leading London law firm.
This is a great opportunity for someone with Family Law experience who enjoys the administrative and client-facing side of legal work and is keen to develop their knowledge further. Full training will be provided, with the opportunity to take on additional paralegal-style responsibilities over time.
The role will involve:
- Providing PA and administrative support to partners and fee earners within the Family team
- Supporting matters involving financial remedy and children proceedings
- Preparing and collating court bundles
- Using the Court Portal and preparing relevant court forms
- Managing diaries, inboxes and key case deadlines
- Preparing documents and correspondence
- Liaising with clients, courts and Counsel’s Chambers
- Supporting with file management and billing
- Taking on additional paralegal-style duties as your knowledge develops

We're looking for someone with:
- At least 1 year’s experience within Family Law
- Experience of financial remedy and children matters
- A working knowledge of court bundles, the Court Portal and relevant court forms
- Strong administration, organisation and prioritisation skills
- A proactive, adaptable approach and a genuine willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused attitude

This role would particularly suit someone who wants to build their career in legal support and develop their legal knowledge, rather than someone looking to qualify or currently managing their own caseload.
You’ll be joining a friendly, collaborative and highly regarded Family team in a central London location, with a genuine opportunity to learn and take on more responsibility over time.
