Due to our continued growth, Best Wilson Buckley Family Law is seeking an experienced and motivated Legal Practice Manager to join our leadership team. At our Ipswich office.
Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in leading one of Queensland's largest firms that practice exclusively in the areas of family law. You'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of your office, supporting and developing your team, driving performance, and ensuring exceptional client service while maintaining your own file load.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced family lawyer who enjoys balancing legal practice with leadership, mentoring, and operational management. You'll have the opportunity to influence culture, improve performance, support business growth, and help shape the future success of the firm.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Legal Practice Manager, you will:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of legal professionals.
- Manage your own file load while supporting your team on complex matters.
- Drive team performance, client service, and financial outcomes.
- Oversee workflow, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Foster strong client relationships and resolve escalated matters.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and team performance.
- Support recruitment, business development, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Promote a collaborative, positive culture aligned with the firm's values.

About You
We're looking for a confident and approachable leader who enjoys developing people as much as delivering exceptional legal outcomes.
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Admission as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland with a current unrestricted Queensland Practising Certificate.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a legal practice.
- Strong technical expertise in family law and the ability to manage your own client practice.
- A passion for mentoring, developing, and inspiring legal professionals.
- Commercial acumen with an understanding of legal practice performance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- A collaborative leadership style and commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes.
