This is an opportunity to join GLD's growing Legal Operations function and play a key role in shaping how legal services are delivered across government.

Working closely with the Head of Legal Delivery, you'll help drive improvements in legal project management, legal delivery and process efficiency, supporting a wider transformation programme focused on modernising legal services and improving outcomes for clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the development and growth of the Legal Process Services function.
  • Driving legal project management, process improvement and legal delivery initiatives.
  • Overseeing a portfolio of legal delivery and transformation programmes.
  • Working with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and embed new ways of working.
  • Building capability across the organisation and helping create a more efficient, scalable legal service.
  • Leading and developing a team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

We're keen to hear from candidates with experience in:

  • Legal Operations
  • Legal Project Management
  • Legal transformation
  • Delivering change within a law firm, in-house legal team or comparable professional services environment.
  • Process improvement and operational efficiency programmes.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships and influencing at senior levels.
  • Leading teams and delivering results through others.

  • £70,984 (National) / £74,681 (London & Croydon)
  • Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97% (worth over £20,500 per year on the national salary)
