Legal Receptionist / Legal Administrator

Aberdare | Office-based | Full-time

Looking to build a career in law but want to get your foot in the door with the right firm?

We're working with a lovely, close-knit law firm in Aberdare that is looking to welcome a Legal Receptionist / Administrator into its team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous reception, legal administration or conveyancing experience who enjoys working with people, keeping things organised and being part of a supportive team.

The role will be varied, giving you exposure to the day-to-day running of a busy legal practice. You'll be one of the first points of contact for clients, while also supporting the wider team with administrative duties and helping ensure matters run smoothly behind the scenes.

For someone looking to develop their experience within the legal sector, this could be a fantastic stepping stone. You'll gain valuable insight into how a law firm operates, work alongside experienced legal professionals and have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge over time.

What will you be doing?

No two days are likely to look exactly the same, but your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for clients, visitors and callers, providing a warm and professional welcome.
  • Answering telephone calls, responding to general enquiries and directing queries to the appropriate team members.
  • Supporting the team with general legal administration and day-to-day office tasks.
  • Assisting with the opening and organisation of client files and maintaining accurate records.
  • Providing administrative support to the conveyancing team, including helping with documentation and correspondence.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents and other third parties where required.
  • Organising appointments, managing diaries and helping keep the office running efficiently.
  • Scanning, filing and maintaining electronic and paper-based documents.
  • Supporting colleagues across the practice as priorities change throughout the day.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
