Legal Regulatory Assistant
Job description
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 Per Week, Full Time
Working Style: Your workstyle will be a fixed workplace at Port Talbot Civic Centre
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, professional and organised individual to join our team as a Legal Regulatory Assistant. The Legal Regulatory Services team is responsible for the Council’s statutory functions of licensing, legal rights of way and common land registration.
As a Legal Regulatory Assistant, you will be required to:
- Meet with perspective licence holders to offer advice and guidance
- Receive and process licence applications
- Take payments
- Perform other general office duties
Your daily routine will be responding to customer requests for licences, taking payments, checking documentation and producing licences ready for issue.
About you:
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
The post holder will possess at least 4 GCSE’s at grade C or above, one of which must be English or Welsh, plus Mathematics, or a qualification of a comparable level. However, no formal legal nor licensing qualifications are required for this role, as full training will be provided.
