Position: Legal & Compliance Evaluator
Type: Freelance Hourly Contract
Compensation: $80–$120/hour

About the Opportunity
This opportunity is for experienced Legal and Compliance professionals interested in contributing to advanced AI research and evaluation projects involving regulatory analysis, compliance frameworks, legal documentation, risk assessments, and policy review.
The role focuses on evaluating AI-generated work products, including legal documents, compliance reports, regulatory analyses, spreadsheets, presentations, and risk-management materials while applying professional judgment to assess accuracy, rigor, and domain quality.
You'll leverage your expertise in legal interpretation, compliance oversight, regulatory requirements, governance frameworks, and risk management to help improve the capabilities of next-generation AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated legal documents, compliance reports, regulatory analyses, spreadsheets, and presentations for accuracy and quality.
- Assess outputs using domain-specific evaluation criteria and professional legal and compliance standards.
- Identify legal inaccuracies, regulatory gaps, compliance risks, and presentation issues.
- Review policies, procedures, risk assessments, governance materials, and regulatory recommendations.
- Provide detailed written feedback and scoring based on established evaluation guidelines.
- Assess the quality of legal reasoning, compliance analysis, and professional communication.
- Contribute to the development of high-quality legal and compliance evaluation benchmarks and training datasets.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Risk Management, Corporate Governance, Internal Controls, or a related field.
- Professional fluency in English with strong written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, particularly PowerPoint/Google Slides, Excel, and document review tools.
- Strong understanding of legal frameworks, regulatory requirements, compliance programs, and risk-management principles.
- Ability to identify legal, analytical, and presentation-related issues in complex work products.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree, JD, LLM, or higher qualification from a reputable institution.
- Experience developing compliance programs, regulatory policies, governance frameworks, or legal documentation.
- Background in corporate law, regulatory compliance, financial services, healthcare, privacy, employment law, or related practice areas.
- Experience creating executive presentations, compliance reports, board materials, or risk assessments.
- Familiarity with AI-generated legal and compliance content and evaluation methodologies.
