Waterstone Legal is looking for a confident, enthusiastic, and ambitious Legal Sales Executive to join our London team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who has strong communication and people skills, enjoys speaking with clients, and is interested in developing a career within the legal sector.
Previous legal experience is not essential. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, confidence, and willingness to learn.
The Role
As a Legal Sales Executive, you will be one of the first points of contact for prospective clients looking for legal assistance. Your role will involve understanding their requirements, explaining the legal services Waterstone Legal can provide, following up on enquiries, and helping convert prospective clients into new instructions for the firm. You will work closely with our solicitors, fee earners, and wider team across the firm's different practice areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to new client enquiries by telephone, email, and other communication channels
- Speaking confidently and professionally with prospective clients
- Understanding a client's initial legal requirements and identifying the appropriate legal service
- Clearly explaining the firm's services and the benefits of instructing Waterstone Legal
- Following up with prospective clients and maintaining regular communication
- Converting enquiries and leads into new client instructions
- Building positive relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Maintaining accurate records of enquiries, leads, and follow-ups
- Working closely with solicitors and fee earners when referring new matters
- Supporting business development and client acquisition activities
- Ensuring every prospective client receives a professional and positive experience

Who We're Looking For
You do not need to be a lawyer or have previous legal experience. We are looking for someone who is:
- An excellent communicator with strong spoken and written English
- Confident speaking with people over the telephone
- Friendly, professional, and approachable
- Comfortable explaining services and communicating value to potential clients
- Persuasive without being overly sales-driven
- Motivated and target-oriented
- Organised and able to follow up enquiries consistently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced professional environment
- Positive, proactive, and willing to learn
- Able to build rapport quickly with people from different backgrounds
- Interested in developing a career in sales, business development, or the legal sector

Previous experience in sales, customer service, telesales, recruitment, hospitality, or other client-facing roles would be beneficial but is not essential.
