Legal Secretary - PA

Litigation

(experience essential supporting Litigation team P.I. caseload) £28 - 35K (dep on exp)

Due to continued growth, our client has an opportunity for an experienced Legal PA/Secretary to join their civil litigation team. If successful, you would have the opportunity of working for a team often honoured and celebrated for their expert legal advice and one of NI leading local law firms, based in Belfast.

Salary circa £28 - £35K, commensurate with experience + Benefits package

The Opportunity

You will be based in their Belfast city centre offices, close to all public transport links where you will join and become a valued member of the civil litigation team. You will be responsible for providing a high-level of business support at partner/associate/solicitor level within the civil litigation team. The role will entail:

  • Work in the areas of civil litigation; previous experience essential
  • Personal Injury, road traffic collision; previous experience essential
  • County court experience; previous experience essential
  • High court experience; preferred experience but not essential
  • Managing documentation including opening/updating/e-filing.
  • Diary management and booking meetings.
  • Producing and amending large documents and correspondence.
  • Billing.
  • Ongoing training, continued personal development offered.

We wish to speak PA’s/Legal Secretaries/legal administrators with this area of litigation experience, (24 months continuous employment in this area essential) who would like the opportunity to progress their careers and thrive, with excellent support, working in a fast paced legal services environment.

Criteria

You will be providing secretarial, administrative support on high volume civil litigation matters within a friendly team environment.

Dealing with Clients therefore, you will be quietly confident with a helpful manner along with excellent communication and organisational skills are required for this role.

  • Essential experience and the processes required for county court proceedings.
  • Ideally experience of High court documentation requirements
  • It is essential that you will have a positive approach along with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • It is essential that you are reliable and have a willingness to learn.
  • It is essential you have a proven A great work ethic, industrious.
  • The ability to manage, organise and prioritise the workload.
  • A high degree of competence using the MS Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The salary will be based on your experience and ability and is expected to be in a range circa £28k to £35k depending on your level of experience plus additional benefits:
