Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Legal Secretary role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Legal Secretary will provide administrative and secretarial support to solicitors, including preparing and formatting legal documents, correspondence, and forms. Daily responsibilities include managing diaries, scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, and maintaining accurate files and records. The role also involves handling telephone and email enquiries, assisting with client communication, and performing general clerical tasks such as typing, photocopying, scanning, and filing. The Legal Secretary will work closely with legal assistants and other team members to ensure efficient case management and smooth office operations.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law and practical experience supporting legal professionals.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and reviewing legal correspondence and paperwork.
- Experience working as part of a team of Legal Assistants or support staff in a law firm environment.
- Excellent Clerical Skills, including typing, filing, record management, and handling office communications.
- Effective Diary Management skills for scheduling, organizing meetings, and coordinating solicitors’ calendars.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confidence using office and case management software, MS Office applications, and digital filing systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain confidentiality in all matters.
- Previous experience as a legal secretary or administrative support in a law firm is highly beneficial.
- Relevant education or vocational training in legal administration or a related field is an advantage.
