The Dispute Resolution, Transactions & Trademarks support team is instrumental to the business, supporting fee earners and clients with drafting and formatting legal documents, managing prompt lists and databases, and inbox and diary management. As Legal Secretary, you will provide full PA and administrative support to approximately six fee earners of mixed seniority, working closely with an Admin Assistant, and reporting to the Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with allocated fee earners to review progress and discuss outstanding matters
  • Manage inboxes and diaries, including scheduling meetings, preparing papers, and coordinating logistics
  • Arrange extensive international travel itineraries
  • Prepare invoices, including reviewing narratives, verifying client details, and liaising with the accounts team
  • Monitor e-workspaces/inboxes and manage files independently when fee earners are away
  • Attend team and practice group meetings
  • Manage files, including liaising with Records, updating special instructions, and maintaining the DMS
  • Create and maintain intranet content
  • Prepare official forms and monitor daily prompt schedules
  • Draft and amend letters, emails, and court documents to a consistently high standard
  • Apply up-to-date client special instructions

  • GCSE English Language and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrable experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a law firm litigation department
  • Recognised secretarial qualification
