Legal Secretary – Employment

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a leading law firm, supporting Partners and Associates across the Employment division.

This is a busy and varied role for someone who is organised, proactive and confident working in a fast-paced legal environment.

The Role

  • Providing day-to-day secretarial and administrative support to Partners and Associates.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for clients and colleagues.
  • Managing diaries, meetings and appointments.
  • Preparing and formatting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Managing billing, bill requests and credit control.
  • Liaising with clients regarding queries and outstanding payments.
  • Assisting with client meetings, seminars and other events.
  • Working closely with the Marketing team when required.
  • Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Supporting the wider secretarial team and helping with workload when needed.
  • Using AI and other technology to improve efficiency and streamline processes.

About You

  • At least 2 years’ legal secretarial experience.
  • Strong organisational and administration skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable managing a busy workload and supporting multiple fee earners.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Proactive and able to use your own initiative.
  • Professional, flexible and happy to get involved as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a busy environment.
  • An interest in AI, technology and improving processes would be a bonus.
