Legal Secretary – Employment
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a leading law firm, supporting Partners and Associates across the Employment division.
This is a busy and varied role for someone who is organised, proactive and confident working in a fast-paced legal environment.
The Role
- Providing day-to-day secretarial and administrative support to Partners and Associates.
- Acting as a first point of contact for clients and colleagues.
- Managing diaries, meetings and appointments.
- Preparing and formatting legal documents and correspondence.
- Managing billing, bill requests and credit control.
- Liaising with clients regarding queries and outstanding payments.
- Assisting with client meetings, seminars and other events.
- Working closely with the Marketing team when required.
- Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Supporting the wider secretarial team and helping with workload when needed.
- Using AI and other technology to improve efficiency and streamline processes.

About You
- At least 2 years’ legal secretarial experience.
- Strong organisational and administration skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable managing a busy workload and supporting multiple fee earners.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Proactive and able to use your own initiative.
- Professional, flexible and happy to get involved as part of a team.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a busy environment.
- An interest in AI, technology and improving processes would be a bonus.
