Kennedys is looking for a Legal Secretary to join our Cambridge office. The successful Legal Secretary will provide an efficient, proactive, and comprehensive secretarial service to a busy team of fee earners.
Team
Kennedys Healthcare division advises the NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts, and medical malpractice insurers of private hospitals, clinics, and practitioners on EL/PL and clinical negligence claims. The team advises on medical insurance coverage, health law advice, and regulatory matters and represents clients at inquests and judicial reviews. The team has a presence across our London, Cambridge, Birmingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, and some of our global offices.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize tasks according to urgency for the fee-earning team
- Seek to develop knowledge of the team practice area, learning how it operates
- Take and record accurate messages and pass them on to the appropriate person without unnecessary delay
- Attend to clients both on the telephone and in person in a professional manner

Required Experience
- Previous legal secretarial experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong team-working skills with the ability to work independently
- Proficient in MS Office packages
- Desirable skillset in Adobe Acrobat, Power PDF/PDF Docs
- Knowledge of case management systems
- AI tools, e.g., CoPilot
