Job Description
We are seeking a competent and experienced Legal Secretary / Administrator to provide dedicated support to one of our Partners.
This is a varied and fast-paced role offering exposure to a wide range of legal work. While the Partner's primary area of practice is Commercial Litigation, they are also involved in other areas of law and holds several key positions within the firm.
We are looking for an experienced administrator or legal secretary who is highly organised, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running, manage competing priorities effectively, and provide a high level of administrative and secretarial support in a busy professional environment.

- Audio and copy typing of correspondence, legal documents, and reports.
- Preparing probate applications and related documentation.
- Opening and closing client files in accordance with firm procedures.
- Managing diaries, arranging appointments and scheduling meetings.
- Handling telephone enquiries and liaising with clients, beneficiaries, and third parties.
- Preparing bills and assisting with the administration of client matters.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Managing incoming and outgoing post and emails.
- Providing general administrative support.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or administrator.
- Excellent typing and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Professional and confidential approach to handling sensitive information.

Desirable Requirements
- Experience using legal case management systems.
- Knowledge of probate procedures and estate administration.
- Experience working within a solicitors' practice.
