Senior Conveyancing Secretary

A well-established and highly respected Legal 500 law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancing Secretary to join its busy and supportive Conveyancing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive legal secretary with residential conveyancing experience to join a firm renowned for delivering exceptional client service. Working alongside experienced Partners and Fee Earners, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth progression of property transactions while providing first-class administrative and secretarial support.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Secretary within a law firm is essential.
- Strong knowledge of residential conveyancing processes from instruction through to completion.
- Audio typing speed of 60+ words per minute.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and case management systems.
- A high standard of written English, grammar, and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Professional and confident communication skills with a client-focused approach.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively within a busy team.
- Experience using LMS/Lender Exchange would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Partners and Fee Earners within the Conveyancing department.
- Preparing and amending legal documents, contracts, reports, financial statements, bills, and correspondence through audio and copy typing.
- Producing precedent letters and documentation using the firm's Case Management System.
- Acting as a first point of contact for clients, handling enquiries professionally and arranging appointments.
- Drafting reports and raising conveyancing enquiries.
- Assisting with the management of LMS and Lender Exchange portals.
- Supporting junior members of the team with searches, Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions, and Land Registry applications.
- Monitoring Fee Earners' emails and correspondence during periods of absence to ensure matters continue progressing efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate client files and ensuring documentation is produced to a consistently high standard.
- Assisting colleagues across the department when required to ensure an efficient and collaborative service.
- Undertaking general legal secretarial and office administration duties.
